Eh, 4x4 miata is passable miata. Needs paddle tires and a surf board mount, though.

4x4 isn’t bad except for the exhaust placement, would make a cool beach cruiser

This is how the Miata at the top looks normally. The owner was working on some new flares when that video was filmed so he had removed them.

What is the tire life on that first one? 50-100 miles before it wears right through the sidewall?
It makes me think I could make money producing tires with tread on the edges like that so it looks hellaflush but will do like 10k miles on a set of shoes.

It’s funny how much effort and work these guys put in, just to make it look like shit and like they don’t care.

No one would buy them as they would be a logical choice. It’s more of lifestyle choice to ruin regular tires.

Any car that isn’t using 100% of its tread should be impounded and fixed at the owner’s expense.

Alsklike that ‘Zero fucks given’ RX-7, where the dude fabbed his own god-damn wiring harness and spent like years of hard work putting it together. These are never builds where they don’t care. They care a LOT.

Some additional info on the non-Craigslist Specials
Owner (who is a Jalop) explains why here:
This is an old photo, the thing is awesome now :
This is just plain awesome. Also built by the guy who made that Walking Dead Veloster that was shown of at Comic-Con a few years back. Not as shoddily built as it looks.
One thing that I always enjoy at a show is when someone isn’t afraid to be a bit tongue-in-cheek about things. This static MX-5 is running probably the biggest wing with the largest end-plates I’ve ever seen. It brought a smile and a laugh out of quite a few people, and served as a reminder if ever one was needed that cars are meant to be fun.
Pretty cool, nothing really out of the ordinary
Built by
Haggard Garage
, the whole point is to be ricey as fuck.

I’m pretty sure it’s a 1.6 too.

He had to hack out massive amounts of the car to get them to fit. Warning, there’s some carnage in the video.

Thanks for the extra info. That extended one actually looks a lot better now. The only issue I have with the 4wd one is the exhuast, it actually looks well executed besides that. Hot rod one is cool. The blue one I just posted because they have the steering wheel hanging outside the window while driving, actual car is ok and the color is awesome. I get that some owners like to be cheeky and fun but there is a certain line where the car becomes useless for anything other than a joke. I’m a fairly serious person, so I don’t really understand putting so much time and money into ruining a car (that first one is straight up ruined, there is no coming back for that one.)

In the video it says it is swapped to a 1.8, worth a watch for the ridiculousness of it.

It’s a good plan, but it’d never become a law in North America outside of Quebec.
